Flooding
This Buffalo family came home from work on Friday, and were surprised to find a toilet had backed up into several rooms, saturating the carpet, the pad, and the vinyl flooring and some walls in the bathroom. Since the water contained solid waste it was determined to be category 3 water, sometimes referred to as black water. Porous materials such as carpet, pad, and drywall impacted by category 3 water must be removed, since they cannot be de-contaminated sufficiently to return the property to preloss condition. SERVPRO of Buffalo-Tonwanda received the call and arrived on site quickly, removed all porous materials, and dried all affected structural materials that could not be removed. Our expert technicians were able to restore the home to a safe and healthy environment, limit the damage, and minimize the repairs required to restore the home to preloss condition.
